In-Home Garden Grow Kits

Do you like in-home garden grow kits? I do not have a green thumb. It does not matter if the plants are inside or outside. So, if I am going to make attempts at growing plant life, it would be in a kit where everything is provided for me so that I have better odds of seeing something grow!

HomeGrown Garden provides a few kits that caught my eye. They have options for vegetables and herbs, but they also have kits with a more decorative purpose. There are other seed packages for various vegetable garden plants, herbal teas, culinary herbs, and more. However, these kits stood out for me because, like I said, I am more likely to see something grow. Thankfully, they are for all levels of skill from beginner to expert alike! Let’s start with the vegetable grow kit.

Vegetable Grow Kit

Vegetable Grow Kit

They call this one the Garden in a Box. There is a “grow guide” included in both print and digital forms. This kit comes with 35 peat moss pellets in the seedling tray that is inside the water collection pan, as well as plant markers. In this kit, you get 5 vegetables: Cherry Tomatoes, Copenhagen Cabbage, Black Beauty Egg Plants, Jalapeno Peppers, and Long Island Brussel Sprouts.

Honestly, I would probably only grow 3 out of the 5 of those vegetables. I would likely buy other vegetable seed packages and trade them out, but that is my preference. It may also be the reason why I am not a successful gardener.

Indoor Herb Garden Starter Kit

This Herb Garden Starter Kit comes with 5 types of Herb seeds: Basil, Choice, Cilantro, Parsley, and Mint. Also included are reusable plant pots with drip trays, plant markers, soil, and a gardening guide. HomeGrown tests all of their seeds for germination before releasing them for sale so that even struggle gardeners like myself stand a chance.

Cactus and Succulent Grow Kit

Cactus and Succulent Grow Kit

I was today years old when I learned this: Succulent means juicy and tasty. Which means succulent plants are actually…edible. I mean, educate yourself on what you are considering eating before doing it, but this blew my mind. They can be poisonous to pets, but humans have eaten them raw, juiced, mashed, and even grilled. What?! To each their own. I will pass on that for now. Too soon.

Whether you are growing cactus and succulent plants for visual appeal or for appetite, this kit supplies you with the following:

  • 10 Cactus Seeds and 10 Succulent Seeds
  • 4 Planters
  • 4 Drip Trays
  • 4 Plant Markers
  • Compressed Soil
  • Easy to Follow Gardening Guide

Bonsai Tree Grow Kit

Bonsai Tree Grow Kit

Save the best for last! I like some veggies, a few herbs, and some succulents look pretty neat, but bonsai trees are just COOL! I am not one to decorate with a cactus because I am more likely to hurt myself on it than enjoy its presence, but I would definitely be stoked with a bonsai tree at my desk! The seeds from this kit are sourced in the USA and selected based on their best odds of displaying good bonsai characteristics.

Everything you need is included in this kit:

  • 4x bonsai tree plant seed varieties. Non-GMO, fresh, ready to germinate seed kit with Extra seeds!
  • 4x Earth-Friendly Bonsai Tree Pot, Drip Trays and 3x Soil Peats
  • 4x Wood Plant Markers
  • Bonsai Tree Fertilizer
  • Detailed Guide

There are deluxe bonsai kit and mini bonsai kit options available as well!

If you have questions about any of their products or if you are just looking for advice, HomeGrown Garden does offer Plant Help on their site. If you have a not-so-green thumb like me, this could be extremely beneficial in ensuring that your investment in these plants succeeds!
